I make small apps. Each one tries to do a single thing well — and nothing more.
I didn't set out to build software. [A sentence or two on your background and how you ended up here.] But I kept running into the same feeling: the tools I used were all doing too much. Every app wanted my attention, my data, another subscription, another notification. I wanted the opposite — something quiet that solved one problem and then got out of the way.
So I started making my own. Spek Screens came first, because [the specific itch it scratched for you]. [Then Spek Videos, because …] The idea behind all of them is the same: calm, careful, and built for a real person instead of a metric.
[I'm 68 and colour-blind], which shapes how I design. I care a lot about apps that are easy to read and easy to use — text that's big enough, honest contrast, no clutter. If something works well for me, there's a good chance it works for you too.
